Coordinate Your Notetaking Services with AIM's Comprehensive Notetaking Services Module!

Use AIM's Notetaking Services Module to manage notetaking accommodations, particularly the use of note takers. Various functionality is available to assist Disability Services with recruiting notetakers, communicating with students and faculty, assigning notetakers, and managing ongoing notetaking assignments. Depending on your process, the module can be configured to support a completely anonymous or notetaker informed assignment.

Student Experience

Students will use AIM's Notetaking Services Module to:
  • Confirm their need for notetaking services based on course design through an automated reminder.
  • Review the status of notetaking services.
  • Download uploaded notes from their assigned notetaker.
  • Review and provide feedback on their notetaker’s performance.

Staff Experience

Staff will use AIM's Notetaking Services Module to:
  • Efficiently manage notetaking requests, set request statuses, and check for available notetakers. A notetaker application can be published.
  • Communicate with faculty and students to recruit notetakers. A notetaker recruitment data feed automation is available for streamlined communication with protentional notetakers.
  • Assign notetakers to classes and monitor their assignments. The number of files uploaded, date of last upload, and information on download details are all data points available to support ongoing oversight.
  • Coordinate intervention strategies as necessary based on feedback received. Compensation method preferences can be gathered and finalized through the system.

Reporting

Use AIM's Notetaking Services Module reporting capabilities to:
  • Generate a list of notetaking services accommodation requests and assignments based on various criteria.
  • Run notetaking services report summaries on individual notetaking services accommodations and assignments by term.
  • Review reports which include total notetaking services requests, number of classes, active class requests with and without assignments, and much more.
