Efficiently Track and Manage Accessible Text and Classroom Material Requests with AIM's Alternative Formats Module!!

Use AIM's Alternative Formats Module to streamline and monitor student requests for alternative format materials for each of their classes directly from the institution bookstore or custom one-off materials. Tracking is made easy through the creation of individual work orders for book titles and supplemental materials allowing staff to monitor the ongoing progress and ensure timely delivery of accessible materials.

Student Experience

Students will use AIM's Alternative Formats Module to:
  • Confirm the use of an accessible text accommodation through an automated reminder.
  • Submit and monitor requests for alternative format materials in enrolled classes and co-curricular activities.
  • Upload receipts to provide proof of purchase or booked ownership.
  • Access and download completed alternative format materials.

Staff Experience

Staff will use AIM's Alternative Formats Module to:
  • Track student requests for an accessible text accommodation with options to automate reminder emails.
  • Create and manage work orders for book titles and supplemental materials.
  • Streamline communication with faculty and textbook publishers through various templates.
  • Identify and generate Text Editor assignments. Text Editors are able to review assignments, track individual work sessions, and request review of completed work.

Reporting

Use AIM's Alternative Formats Module reporting capabilities to:
  • Generate a list of alternative format accommodation requests and individual work orders based on various criteria.
  • Run alternative format report summaries by individual alternative format accommodations, term or date range.
  • Review reports which include total exam requests, number of classes and instructors engaged, exam types scheduled, and much more.
